Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor). It does in no way violate the ethical instructions as to the plagiarism concerns.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • The stylistic and bibliographic requirements the text adheres are neatly accomplished and the attached SAMPLE APA text is used so that the production editor can proceed to the publishing of your article. The manuscripts with poor format may be removed from the workflow. It is the author who is responsible for such a delay.
  • STATEMENT ON COMPLIANCE WITH ETHICAL INSTRUCTIONS
The researchers obtained the data according to the international temporal restrictions, getting adhered to ethical principles during the research. With regard to the issued statements on compliance with ethical standards, I/we did not use any unlawful method or material during the research. The researchers initiated the research after permissions (i. e. voluntary and individual written consents) pertaining to the study.

Author Guidelines

Dear Authors,

NALANS considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that:

  • The manuscript is your own original work, and does not duplicate any other previously published work, including your own previously published work.
  • The manuscript has been submitted only to NALANS; it is not under consideration or peer review or accepted for publication or in press or published elsewhere.
  • The manuscript contains nothing that is abusive, defamatory, libelous, obscene, fraudulent, or illegal.

Author Guidelines:

  1. General guidelines
  • Authors, upon creating an account and complete their registration, should fill out the required profile sections, which include their full names, affiliations, postal addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses without any spelling mistakes. The profile section in your account is very important since the production editors use the authors’ profile info during publication.
  • Already registered users (previous authors, readers, reviewers etc.) should check and update their profile if necessary.
  • One author should be identified as the corresponding author.
  • The Blind Review requires the REMOVAL of the username or any affiliation from the manuscript.
  • A typical manuscript will be between 4000-8000 words including tables, references, captions, footnotes and endnotes. Manuscripts that greatly exceed this will only be accepted if they are of exceptionally high quality. Authors are recommended to apply a word count with their manuscript.
  • Manuscripts should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text; acknowledgements; references; appendices (as appropriate).
  • Abstracts should be between 150-200 words.
  • Each manuscript should have 3 to 6 keywords.
  • Titles and section headings should be concise.
  • Long quotations of 40 words or more should be indented with quotation marks.
  • The language of the submitted works should be academic and non-discriminatory.
  • The tables and graphics should be numbered in the order in which they appear in the manuscript (e.g. Figure 1, Figure 2).
  • The authors are strongly recommended to obey the copyright rules.
  • The language of the journal is English. Correct style and word usage, however, are the responsibility of the author(s). Spelling may be British or American, but it must be consistent throughout the text. Manuscripts submitted in poor English may be returned to the author(s) and there will be a delay in publication.
  • Please supply all details required by any funding and grant-awarding bodies as an Acknowledgement on the title page of the manuscript, in a separate paragraph, as follows:
  • For single agency grants: "This work was supported by the [Funding Agency] under Grant [number xxxx]."
  • For multiple agency grants: "This work was supported by the [Funding Agency 1] under Grant [number xxxx]; [Funding Agency 2] under Grant [number xxxx]; and [Funding Agency 3] under Grant [number xxxx]."

  1. Style guidelines for Nalans:

The writing style of the manuscripts in NALANS is APA 6th. For In-text Citation and Reference List authors must obey The APA Manual (6th ed) or http://www.apastyle.org/manual/ (click on the tab marked author-date to ensure you are using the right style).
